Because ASU is one university in many places across metro Phoenix (plus locations like the ASU California Center), you must confirm which campus houses your major before booking. Each campus features a unique environment designed for distinct learning styles:
- Tempe campus: ASU’s historic campus has an energetic, friendly atmosphere and is home to multidisciplinary research in first-rate research centers, innovative VR learning labs and the university’s Big 12 sports.
- Downtown Phoenix campus: Situated near health care, journalism, government, public service, arts and other professional connections, this campus offers a big-city feel in a career-focused environment.
- Polytechnic campus (Mesa): Located in a desert arboretum, this campus offers industry partnerships and experiential learning at innovative makerspaces in a serene, easygoing setting.
- West Valley campus (Northwest Phoenix): Dotted with beautiful courtyards and fountains, this campus offers a tight-knit community with a peaceful, welcoming vibe and is focused on training the next generation of a more robust workforce.

ASU offers several tour options. Select the specific type of event that fits your needs.
- Experience ASU: Our standard program for prospective undergraduate students. Depending on date and availability, programming typically includes a 30-minute admission presentation, an academic fair (where you meet representatives from your specific college), and a 60-minute student-led campus walking tour (components subject to change based on scheduling).
- ASU Express: A streamlined campus visit designed to give you an introduction to ASU. Includes a brief admission presentation, followed by a guided walking tour led by one of our knowledgeable student tour guides. It's the perfect option for students and families looking for a quick overview of campus and the ASU experience.
- Sun Devil Day/Transfer Day: Larger, comprehensive open-house events hosted on specific dates throughout the year.
- Self-guided and virtual tours: If visit experiences are full, you can register for an online self-guided tour or download a mobile tour map to explore at your own pace.

We require all visitors to register online prior to arriving on campus — walk-ins are rarely accommodated due to high demand.

- Register for an available day and time slot.
- Look for your confirmation email and keep it accessible. It confirms your registered date and time and directs you to our What to Expect webpage for campus-specific check-in locations, arrival windows and parking details.
- Check in early: Check-in starts 30 minutes before your program start time. We ask visitors to arrive early, as we enforce a late attendance policy — if you do not check in on time, you may forfeit your slot.
- Factor in parking: Surface lot parking meters have been removed across all our campuses. You will need to park in designated garages or use surface lots paid via mobile app. Always budget an extra 15 minutes to park and walk to the check-in location.
- Be weather-ready: Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen to be prepared for the outdoor walking tour of campus.
- Watch the time zone: Most of Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time. Depending on the time of year and where you are traveling from, ensure your clock matches local Arizona time (Mountain Standard Time) so you don't arrive late.
