Discover ways to get involved at Arizona State University. Immerse yourself in the Black excellence experience and interact with Black faculty, staff and student leaders from the Black African Coalition. We will help you explore the admission process, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, academic resources, and life as a Black student on campus.

We invite you to join us in person at the Tempe campus.

This is a Black African Coalition event, which is an ASU-registered student organization. All students organizations abide by a strict non-discrimination policy. All individuals are welcome to participate or apply without regard to their race, ethnicity, sex, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Join us in person at the Tempe campus to learn about ASU’s admission process, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, academic resources, and life as a Black student on campus. A campus tour and Greek organization showcase will be included.

We’ll discuss all of the resources available to students of color, such as academic advising, career services, student jobs, internships and the Black African Coalition.

We Matter at ASU

Discover how to get involved and achieve excellence as a Black student at ASU through the various programs, services and resources available for you.

10:20 a.m.

Becoming a Sun Devil

Learn about the next steps toward ASU enrollment, along with financial aid and scholarships for admitted students.

10:55 a.m.

Immerse Yourself in the BAC's Organizations

The Black African Coalition is made up of around 30 different organizations. Connect with current students during breakout sessions with the following organization categories: international, Greek, social and professional.

Family Session

Join us for a parent- and family-focused session on ways to provide support for your future Sun Devil.

11:35 a.m.

Faculty Seminar with ASU Black Faculty and Professors

Learn about academic expectations and strategies for success from top ASU faculty in this moderated discussion.

Greek Showcase

Come learn about fraternities and sororities from the National Pan-hellenic Council at ASU. *Boxed lunches will be provided during this portion of the event.

Black African Coalition

The Black African Coalition at Arizona State University dedicates itself to unifying students of African descent toward common goals and objectives for this community.

Sankofa Leadership Institute

This August, you’ll also have the opportunity to join the Black African Coalition at the Sankofa Leadership Institute. This three-day virtual program is focused on providing incoming Black and African American students with connections to the Black community and resources at ASU, such as financial aid information, and access to faculty and staff.
