SPIRIT Registration 2024

SPIRIT is a FREE program before the start of the fall semester that will equip American Indian students with the skills to thrive at ASU.

Program dates: Tuesday, Aug. 13 – Friday, Aug. 16, 2024

Welcome Dinner - Tuesday from 3–6 p.m.
Program Time - Wednesday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Program Check In Time: 8 a.m.

Liability Waiver Terms

In consideration of my participation in the ASU SPIRIT program, I the undersigned assume the risk of and hereby release and forever discharge the Arizona Board of Regents, Arizona State University and American Indian Student Support Services for any injury which I may sustain as a result of my participation in the ASU SPIRIT program, and which results from causes beyond the control of, and without fault or negligence of, the Board of Regents, Arizona State University or

American Indian Student Support Services and all its employees. If I am under the age of 18 years, I certify that I have obtained the signature of my parent or guardian allowing me to participate in the activities and that my parent or guardian has full knowledge thereof. Specific activities may involve some risks and dangers. I am aware that unanticipated and unexpected events may occur that may result in injury to me. I hereby assume all risks of injury that may be sustained by me in connection with the activities. I understand that it is my responsibility to obtain all necessary permission to participate in all associated activities or to verify that such permission has been obtained on my behalf. I represent that I have chosen to participate in the above activities voluntarily.

Photo & Video Release Terms

Release I give permission to release my name, photograph, video and related information about me or a photographed/videotaped event in which I am pictured to the news media. I further give permission for ASU Public Relations to use this information and/or photograph in university publications and publicity in support of the University and SPIRIT program

Health Emergency Care - Permission to Transport/Treat Terms

In the event of a medical or psychological emergency, I understand that the ASU SPIRIT staff will obtain emergency services (i.e., ambulance, emergency room care, EMPACT crisis team, doctor care) to respond to the well being of SPIRIT participants. The ASU Health and Wellness center will be utilized during regular business hours in non-emergency situations.
