Join Arizona State University for National Transfer Week to learn about transfer resources and pathways offered by ASU. Attend virtual sessions to explore transfer topics including MyPath2ASU™ pathways and training, transfer credit articulation, and national trends in transfer student enrollment.

These sessions are intended for community college faculty and staff members who engage with transfer students.

Assisting Transfer Students Through a Pandemic Era with Dr. Yolanda Watson Spiva


Session description:  

Explore how COVID-19 may have impacted national transfer students’ success, and how best to assist those most affected as they continue their transfer journey from community colleges to universities with the President of Complete College America Dr. Yolanda Watson Spiva. Dr. Watson Spiva co-authored the NAACP Image Award-nominated book “Daring to Educate: The Legacy of the Early Spelman College Presidents” and received the prestigious Turknett Leadership Character Award for outstanding leadership in the nonprofit sector. Now leading Complete College America, Dr. Watson Spiva advocates for dramatically increasing college completion rates and closing equity gaps.

Academic Alliances Pathways and Partnership: A look into the transfer landscape at ASU


Session description:  

Academic Alliances, a unit of the Office of the University Provost, works with community college partners to help position ASU as a leader in building robust ecosystems for transfer students. This session will highlight engagement progress for expanding MyPath2ASUTM and Universal Articulation to community college partners locally and nationally, and provide the scope of pathways data that we’ve collected, emphasizing why enhancing how we collaboratively support learners prior to transfer is a priority.

Advancements in distributed ledger technology are opening new doors for learner agency, credential management and credit mobility. This webinar will provide information on ASU’s American Indian student support programs and resources, and understanding the transfer process to ASU.
